Unlocking Domain

  Hi,
  I recently purchased a domain (eptapublishing.com) through google domains. I’m hosting it on BlueHost and ask for a transfer over there. The transfer was effective on July, 7th. However, since that day, my website is also unavailable.
  The issue is that my DNS are not propagating and my domain is locked.
  I contacted google domains to solve this problem but the technician told me that my registrar is now Automattic Inc.
  I need to unlock it to transfer it towards BlueHost.

  Can you help me?

  Hi millissiaepta,

  eptapublishing.com was transferred to WordPress.com a couple of days ago. However, it sounds like you now wish to transfer the domain away from WordPress.com, to Bluehost instead. Is that correct?

  The name servers for your domain are still pointing to Google. Do you want to use eptapublishing.com for a site hosted on WordPress.com or Bluehost?

  and my domain is locked

  That’s correct. This 60 day lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived. But in the meantime, eptapublishing.com can be pointed to a site hosted elsewhere.

  If you let me know which site you wish to use the domain for (where it is hosted), I can send some more information.

  Hi there,

  I notice that domain was transferred to a different account than the one you’re using to post here.

  To point that domain to Bluehost, you need to first log into that account. Then go to My Site ->Domains. You’ll be able to change the name servers there. Please contact Bluehost for the actual name servers you need to use.

  You won’t be able to completely transfer the domain to Bluehost until it’s been with us for at least 60 days – a transfer lock is automatically applied any time you transfer a domain between registrars.
