Unlocking my Domain Name

Hello, I recently have decided to transfer my domain name, ballpaintingindy.com, away from wordpress.com. I have already canceled my account, however I need my domain unlocked to transfer, if WordPress could unlock my domain, that would be great. Thank you.

Hi there,
Your domain is not locked. You cancelled it, which means you no longer own it. You cannot transfer a domain that you do not own.
Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future. Only cancel a domain if you’re completely sure you no longer want it at all.
If you still want to use this domain I can restore it to your account, and then you can transfer it away from us. Please confirm if we should do that.
