unmap a domain
-
I accidentally mapped travisseward.com to an existing site. I want this unmapped so I can start a new site with a new theme.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
A modlook tag has been added so that staff can look into this.
Please keep patience while someone from support staff gets back to you.
Thanks!

Hi jtseward,
I’ve checked on this for you — travisseward.com is registered through GoDaddy and the name servers are pointing to WordPress.com but there is no active domain mapping upgrade on our end.
If you wish to point the domain to another host, please login to your GoDaddy account and update the name servers there :)

Hello –
travisseward.com is mapped to usateatsiptrip.wordpress.com. That was a mistake. I want it mapped to travissewardcom.wordpress.com. -
Hi there,
It looks like the site to which you mapped that domain is on our VIP hosting platform, so we cannot just move it to another site in your account as we’d normally do in this situation.
Please submit a ticket to VIP support at support[at]vip.wordpress.com and ask them to remove the domain from that site. Once they’ve done that, you should be able to map the domain to your regular WordPress.com site on the Personal Plan.
