unmap domain

  Dear wordpress team

  I had a blog merano2030.wordpress.com.
  I tried to map it to domain diegozanella.it with no luck (it says ‘DNS needs to be updated’)

  I wanted to start over so I deleted the blog, but I can’t unmap the domain.

  I would like to map it to another wordpress page I’ve just created. Could someone from the staff please unmap it for me?

  The blog is deleted, but the domain keeps pointing to it and i still see it under ‘my-upgrades’ section.

  I confirm that I want to unmap my domain “diegozanella.it” to my deleted blog “merano2030.wordpress.com”.

  Anyone from the staff is authorized by me to do that.

  We can unmap the domain, or we can transfer it straight to one of your other sites. Which would you prefer?

  I would like to transfer ‘diegozanella.it’ to ‘meran2030.wordpress.com’

  I’m trying the premium package with it and I linked it yesterday to ‘diegozanella.com’

  So could you remove ‘diegozanella.com’ and map ‘meran2030.wordpress.com’ with diegonzanella.it?

  Hi!

  I went ahead and moved the domain diegozanella.it to the site meran2030.wordpress.com. You should see it here:

  https://meran2030.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades

  I also removed the old Premium bundle from merano2030.wordpress.com since that site was deleted (didn’t want you to get charged!).

  I’m happy to remove the domain diegozanella.com and bundle the domain diegozanella.it with the bundle on meran2030.wordpress.com. However, I’d just like to confirm that you do not want the domain diegozanella.com. Once I cancel it, it will become unavailable for some time (you won’t be able to re-register it or register it elsewhere). Can you reply back to confirm?

  I still cant see my meran2030.wordpress.com page when I point the browser to diegozanella.it. The courtesy page appears.

  I bought diegozanella.it from misterdomain.eu and I changed its default name servers with the ones wordpress suggests (ns1.wordpress.com, ns2wordpress.com and ns3.wordpress.com). I read its part of the configuration process in order to wordpress to display properly.

  Not sure what I’ve done wrong. In response to your question please keep diegozanella.com for now in case I can’t use diegozanella.it.

  Hi!

  It looks like you have some custom A records set for diegozanella.it. You can see those here:

  https://meran2030.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

  Just click “Edit Domain” -> “Edit DNS”. Once you remove those A records, the domain should start working correctly. I can remove them for you if you would like. Just reply back to confirm!

  Once we get this figured out, we can determine what we want to do with diegozanella.com.

  Done! The domain should begin working correctly within a few hours (if not now). Can you clear your browser’s cache if you don’t see the site right away?

  Yes I think so, in case anyone writes diegozanella.com by mistake I’m sure he will get automatically redirected to diegozanella.it
