Unmap Domain

  I mapped essentialmommynetwork.com to my wordpress.com site, but am looking to migrate my .com site to a .org site. I would like to unmap my domain so that I can move my .com blog to my .org blog. I have tried to cancel the mapping in Manage Purchases and under Domains, but there is no option to cancel the mapping. I have removed the yearly renewal, but I would like the domain unmapped from this site. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  Your domain essentialmommynetwork.com is unmapped from your WordPress.com site.

  I can tell this based on two things:

  1. essentialmommynetwork.com doesn’t point to any WordPress.com site.
  2. The domain name servers of essentialmommynetwork.com are not that of WordPress.com’s.

  So it looks like you are sorted. Let me know if you need any other help.

  Thank you for your quick response. I did point my servers back to Hostgator instead of pointing them at wordpress.com, but when I type essentialmommynetwork.com into the url address, it still comes up as my wordpress.com site. This is an issue because I have not been able to login to my wordpress.org admin page due to this. I keep getting redirected to the wordpress.com site. I did pay for essentialmommynetwork.com to be mapped, but I would like that undone. Something is still directing essentialmommynetwork.com to wordpress.com, and it is not on hostgator’s side. I would really like to move everything to wordpress.org because of the amount of freedom available with it, but I have not been able to find a solution to this in any of the forums on .org or .com. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  Please remove the domain essentialmommynetwork.com completely from essentialmommynetwork.wordpress.com. I know that I paid for the mapping, but I am going to eat the cost and ask that you please unmap and remove the domain essentialmommynetwork.com completely. I am moving my blog to wordpress.org for self hosting and cannot complete the setup for wordpress.org without you actively removing my domain from wordpress.com. Thank you very much in advance!

  Your WordPress.org admin page is here: essentialmommynetwork.com/wp-login.php

  Something is still directing essentialmommynetwork.com to wordpress.com, and it is not on hostgator’s side.

  I am not seeing this at my end. essentialmommynetwork.com is taking me to your self-hosted site, not WordPress.com site.

  I suggest your clear your browser’s cache and retry.

  If this still doesn’t help, let me know so I can tag this post for staff’s attention. They will help you unmap your domain name and refund your money.
