Unmap domain
-
I need to renew the domain mapping to http://www.hereatgk.com, which I own through GoDaddy. I have attempted to purchase through the Manage Purchases section, but I am taken in circles without the option to ever pay for this service.
For clarity, I go to my wordpress.com account – manage purchases – upgrade now – Hereatgk.wordpress.com – domains – hereatgk.com – payment settings (my only option) which takes me back to the manage purchases page.
I am an administrator on the site, but I am not the original owner. Do I need to unmap then remap the site? If so, how do I unmap? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address. The blog’s owner can login in under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased the upgrade(s) and renew upgrades at > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades.

Hi there – similar question: I purchased a Domain at GoDaddy and then mapped it to my WordPress account here. Now, however, I would like to use the WordPress where I can fully customize my HTML, PHP, etc and have secured 3rd party hosting to do so. My question is can I unmap my domain from my wordpress.com account here?

Hi there @sportabridged,
Was this for sportabridged.com. If so, I see that you were able to remove the subscription successfully.
If not, let me know and I can remove the domain subscription with your confirmation.
Thanks!

Hi there,
Good day!
I have a domain name seoemployee.com and when I open the seoemployee.com/wp-admin it will bring me to the seomployeecom.wordpress.com/wp-admin…
Can you help me to make it seoemployee.com/wp-admin… Please!
Thanks!

Hi there,
It appears fixed now. I typed in http://seoemployee.com/wp-admin and it took me to the login screen for a self-hosted WordPress.org site and not seomployeecom.wordpress.com/wp-admin. Are you getting the same?
Let me know, thanks!
