Unmap domain

I’m trying to transition from wp.com to wp.org – I did an install and have everything set to go but I can’t figure out how to unmap the redirect upgrade. I don’t want http://www.electricfishstudio.com to point to the wp.com site. How do I do this?

I tried to delete the redirects on the DNS page but it didn’t seem to work so I deleted the redirect upgrade and now when I go to the domain (that should be showing my wp.org install on my server) it’s a WP error page that says ‘this domain doesn’t have the redirect upgrade’ – I’m assuming this this is because the redirects haven’t been cancelled yet and that I should wait. Is that correct? -
I have removed the domain mapping upgrade, but please note that your domain’s name server are still pointed to us.
You’ll need to change the name servers through your domain registrar to point to your hosting provider.

I’ve gotta say I am frustrated. This was like 5 days ago!! That is a long time. I hadn’t heard from anyone after this post and this was the second time I’d queried about it so I gave up and re-mapped it. Then you guys unmapped it, I paid 13 bucks to get it remapped, and now you unmapped it again! Just a tad frustrating! I was trying to build my site w wordpress and host it at web.com, I had unmapped it but the mapping somehow stayed so my site was down in limbo for days. Anyway- I am going to re-map it AGAIN and try to build my site at a later date as I am in the middle of an important time w my business and can’t afford to be offline. So this has brought it down again for the second time this week. Super annoying to deal with a forum based support system sometimes! I realize this is not your fault specifically and thanks for trying but I now will have paid 30 bucks to remap it twice… >: (

Ah, sorry about that, I was just following your original support request here of “I don’t want http://www.electricfishstudio.com to point to the wp.com site.” I wasn’t aware that your situation had changed.
Just to confirm, you do not need anything done with the domain now?

no thank you. It’s just the lag on a forum based support but I appreciate the attention. At a later date I will build it out and unmap it- if there’s a problem I’ll let you know. thx.
