Unmap my domain please!

  I created a WordPress.com blog kliebermanphoto.wordpress.com and redirected the wordpress domain to the mapped domain kliebermanphoto.com. Now I want to switch from WordPress.com to self-hosted WordPress.org site, but I can not run installation of Wrodpress.org publishing system on the mapped domain. If possible, I need assistance in unmapping my kliebermanphoto.com domain

  Hi there! I was going to tell you that you simply needed to change your name servers over to your new hosting provider’s name servers to begin using your existing domain at your new host.

  But checking your domain at http://who.is/whois/kliebermanphoto.com I see that step has already taken place. If you’re still seeing your address go to your old WordPress.com site it’s likely due to latency. DNS changes across the internet can take some time to fully propagate and sync up. In my experience, that typically happens within 24 hours. But, it some cases it can take up to 72 hours to fully complete.

  You should be up and running with your new host in no time!

  Thanks for the info Stothek, though in the other posts it looks like an Admin is required to unmap my domain which is what I need in this situation. If any Admins read this post, please help and unmap my domain so I may begin building my new website! (A refund would be awesome too seeing as that was a complete mistake and not what I wanted to do at all)

  Hello

  I need to map my domain escapingtherock.com from an old WP site to a new one (currently escapingtherock25.wordpress.com)
  At the moment I receive this message when I try to map it to my damain http://www.escapingtherock.com “Sorry but escapingtherock.com is already mapped to a WordPress.com blog.”
  I’ve gone into the old WP site and changed the domain from escapingtherock.com to a WP domain but still I am unable to map the new one to the domain. Please help!
