Hi there. I need some help with our domain. How can we unmapped the domain from the https://successfultransactions.wordpress.com site to our new website which is https://successfultransactions.com? Every time I go to the new website, it is always routed back to the old website. I already deleted and canceled the old website. Please help. Thank you very much

Hi there,
The WordPress.com site at https://successfultransactions.wordpress.com/ has been deleted, and is no longer connected to any domain on our system. If you’re still being routed to that WordPress.com site when you enter your domain into a browser, it’s your browser itself doing that. Clear the browser cache, and the domain should not redirect you any more.

However, you also won’t be able to use the domain, successfultransactions.com. You used to have that domain registered with us, but our logs show you cancelled that domain on 1 February, so you no longer own it.
That domain is currently parked on our system, and in another day or two it will be completely cancelled and go into redemption at the registry, before it will eventually be deleted completely.
If you still want to use that domain, whether here or somewhere else, we’ll need to restore it to your account, and we’ll need to move quickly – once the domain enters redemption there will be an $80 fee to get it back, so I need you to confirm as soon as possible if you want us to restore it, so we can hopefully still get that done before it enters redemption.

Also, is it possible to unlock it early or give me the EPP/Authorization so I can transfer it to Bluehost? I tried transferring it but it won’t let me do it and it is saying that I need to wait around 47 days before I can do the transfer. Thanks

When will I get the refund back to my card? I canceled this domain within 14 days from the day of purchase.
I need to clarify that there are different refund policies here:
– Yearly plans can be refunded within 14 days of purchase.
– Monthly plans can be refunded within 7 days of purchase.
– Domain registrations and renewals can be refunded within 96 hours of purchase.The upgrade under your account was a domain registration that was made on January 20, 2022 and cancelled February 1, 2022 – 12 days after purchase. Therefore a refund was not issued when you cancelled the domain.
If you want to use the domain elsewhere, you have the options outlined by @kokkieh above:
1. Recover the domain here before it goes into redemption. You’ll be able to point it to a new host as soon as it’s restored, then transfer the registration after 60 days.
2. Wait. The domain redemption process can take anywhere from 80 days up to a year depending on the domain. This process (including the transfer lock) is not set by WordPress.com but by the domain registrar authority ICANN.
