Hi,
This is a forum and not WP support.
You can deal with this in several ways.1 – Add a under construction plugin – people will see the landing page but not the site and you can access and work on the site. (best option)
2 – Log into your Domain register and make changes there – NOT Recommended

I need help to unmap domain name brightonkogarahuc.org from brightonkogarahuc.org.au. Make brightonkogarahuc.org as a main domain name. Thanks

Hi rmgoodmanoptusnetcomau,
Read this to understand what you need to do

Hi there,
@paulandana I’ve removed the mapping upgrade on your site and restored the free domain in your plan. You can use it whenever you’re ready to register or map a domain to your site.
In future, it’s better to please create your own thread if you need help, but I see you’ve already removed that domain mapping in any case. If that domain is still trying to connect to a WordPress.com site, make sure you’ve changed the name servers with your domain registrar to point to where you have it hosted now. Also clear your browser cache, as your browser could be redirecting you to the location it “remembers” for the link from before.
This is a forum and not WP support.
This is the WordPress.com support forums, so I’m not sure what you were trying to say there.
Add a under construction plugin
Plugins cannot be used on WordPress.com except on the Business Plan, and this has nothing to do with what the user asked.
Log into your Domain register and make changes there
What changes exactly do you mean here?
The links you provided to @rmgoodmanoptusnetcomau also has nothing to do with the question they asked.
You are welcome to help out in the forums – we are always looking for new volunteers – but please make sure you understand what someone is asking before you give an answer, and make sure you don’t give advice that doesn’t apply to sites on WordPress.com. You can have a look at this page for some more resources:
