I need the domain http://tenaskaonline.com unmapped from my main blog. I did purchase it yesterday and then returned it because I had mapped to the wrong site. I now need access to my http://tenaskaonline.com website again.

No Domain Mapping Found
There is no domain mapping upgrade for tenaskaonline.com. If you would like to use this domain you will first need to set up domain mapping.
tenaskaonline.com – appears to have the name servers pointing to Godaddy –

Did you log in under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog? http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
It seems you have not done that yet.Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

I purchased a remapping from my blog to http://tenaskaonline.com and then cancelled the purchase. http://tenaskaonline.com appears to still be tied somehow to wordpress. I have changed the name servers back to the godaddy servers to no avail. I’m guessing that there might need to be something done to backtrack the mapping that took place when I initially purchased the remapping??? Dave

Thanks for the clarification, Dave. Staff will assist you with sorting this as soon as they can.

Hi davearchsales,
I can see that you purchased and then cancelled domain mapping for tenaskaonline.com. Since it is not registered through us, you will need to contact GoDaddy if you need assistance with it. When I go to the site, I am getting a login box that is not ours, so GoDaddy may have redirected it somehow.
While I’d like to assist you further, we at WordPress.com have no access to this domain, so you will need to work this out with your domain registrar.

Hi,
I’m sorry for taking advantage of this post. I’m new to WordPress and was unsure if I should create another post exactly like this one… You see, my question is the exact same one as the OP.
I have purchased a domain thru wordpress.com (fromportugaltotheworld.com) while creating a blog. I have mapped my domain to my wordpress.com blog.
However I’ve decided to host my blog somewhere else and so I want my domain to point to my new hosting location. As much as I tried I don’t seem able to do it. I’m wondering if it has something to do to the fact that my domain was mapped to my wordpress.com blog.
Can I unmap it?
I appreciate the help!

Hi xlifes,
In order to point a domain to a site hosted elsewhere, you will need to update the name server information for the domain. Depending on your new hosting provider, you may also need to set (or ask us to set) A records for you.
Please review this page for further information:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-management/If you need further assistance, it would be best to post a new thread or contact us through the “contact support” link on your upgrades page in your Dashboard (which will send you to private support).
