Unmapping a mapped domain

Hey, I’ve been trying to unmap this domain: atconstruction.co.uk from my site, however I am unable to find a way to do this. There is no cancel option in manage purchases etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

Just to clarify, do you want to unmap that domain so that you can use the domain elsewhere? Or do you want to unmap it so that you can map a different domain to your WordPress.com site?

The domain is set to expire with the current provider, since I cannot transfer a .co.uk site to wordpress ive been waiting for it to expire with the old provider, that being squarespace, so that I can re-buy it with wordpress. However when I went to try and buy the domain through wordpress it says I cannot do so as the domain is mapped to the site already. Though if theres a better way of transferring the domain im all ears, since this way seems very risky.

So, I can unmap it for you absolutely.
But I would advise against letting a domain expire in an attempt to rebuy it. Not only is the expiration process quite long (https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/) before the domain would be available to purchase, there is a very real risk of a domain squatter grabbing the domain before you can rebuy it.
I wish there was a way that we could transfer a co.uk domain, but I’m afraid it isn’t possible at this time. So I would encourage you to either keep your domain at your current registrar or transfer to another registrar of your choice.

Alright, I’ve started the process of moving the domain to another registrar. No need to unmap the domain now. Thanks for the advice.
