Unmapping My Domain

  I cancelled my WordPress.com upgrade subscription about 15 minutes ago. How soon will it be before the unmapping of my domain (atarilynxhandycast.net) occurs, please? Thanks.

  Hi there,

  Your domain is unmapped from your site the moment you cancel the upgrade.

  The domain will still point to WordPress.com until you change the name servers at your domain provider to point it to your new host instead. Keep in mind it can take up to 72 hours for that change to take effect.

  Your browser might also still try directing you to WordPress.com even after you change the name servers. Clearing your browser’s cache will fix that.

  Thanks so much for the reply. I’ve now changed the name servers with my domain provider, and I’ll see how that goes over the next 72 hours.
