Unmatched Post Counts for Categories 1 and Category Cloud

  After accidentally deleting my ‘categories’ and overlooking the ‘category to tag converter’ feature, I’ve been reassigning both categories and tags to each posts! I later discovered that the ‘post counts’ for both widgets — ‘Categories 1’ and ‘Category Cloud’ — do not match. Has anyone else experienced this problem where the post counts are not matching? Thank you.

  P.S. I am hoping in the very near future (as soon as possible, please) that we would be able to better organize our categories and tags in batches via WordPress.com without saving each post — one by one.

  The sidebars are cached, so depending on server load, it could take up to a couple hours for the widgets to update.
