Unordered lists

  Even when I use the text editor “unordered list” option – and it appears correctly in both the editor and HTML views, when I save and publish it, the formatting doesn’t work. Does anyone know why?

  Are you by chance pasting from Word? That apparently has a different, and incompatible kind of HTML (thanks, Bill!) so that pastes from Word give you weird formatting salad. Try pasting from a plain text file instead and highlighting the relevant passage and clicking on the list icon instead.

  Seeing an example of this on your blog would be helpful to see what is occuring. Could you please point us to an example of this?

  I’m beginning to think I’m going to beg Podz to code that line into the forum theme with the link to the FAQ. :)

  I don’t paste anymore from Word – I just type into the Editor and use the buttons. To look at an example, my blog is cinranker.wordpress.com

  Nevermind – I changed themes and it corrected the problem. The theme I was having trouble with was called Benevolence.
