UnParking a domain

    Hi all,

    I have owned a wordpress.com personal site for a few months now, and frustrated by not being able to edit everything I want to have proceeded to switching to self hosted.

    I registered with ovh and have managed to transfer my domain name over, but I still get the “This domain is parked with Automattic” message and can’t have access.

    I’ve been struggling with millions of tutorials all over the place all evening.

    Can anyone please help ?

    Hi there,

    That domain is no longer on our system. It’s now registered with OVH, so you need to contact them for help with the domain.

    The reason the domain still tried to load WordPress.com, is because its name servers are still pointed to WordPress.com. You need to change those to point to whoever is hosting your site now. This needs to be done on OVH’s end, as they now control the domain.
