Unplanned changes to my blog format… help!

  Something weird is going on with my blog. My ‘about’ info and blogroll are missing, and there’s a tiny smiley face there instead. Hackers? Also, the view from IE and firefox are like night and day (literally). One displays with an unreadable black background, the other with a white background. Can someone please help me? Thanks for any info…

  The smiley is nothing to be concerned about. It tracks your stats:

  I do indeed see a light background with IE7 and very dark with ffx (looks very deep navy on my monitor). That’s something I’ve not seen before, although others might have.

  Re: your sidebar. Did you by any chance have the default sidebar and then add a widget? I ask because once the default is changed, the entire sidebar needs to be rebuilt with widgets and I have to save a new widget twice – once before I put anything in it and then after I have, in order for it to show up. Just thinking out loud here.

  Have you tried a different theme, if only momentarily, to see if the light/dark persists?
