Unpublished pictures found on google
-
Hi,
I am writing you because I have found on google somehow under my name there were unpublished images from my upload folder coming up as linked with my published photos. This made me really upset, because there were some photos in the folder which were not meant to be published, I just uploaded them and they should have stayed in the uploaded pictures folder but not selected to be published. I am really confused why photos or images that are uploaded and saved in the folder but not published are exposed when ppl browse through the images that are being published. Now when I deleted the saved upload folder images that I did not want to be linked publicly with published images, and I wanted to free the uploaded folder, my images which I wanted to stay have gotten erased from the blog. For now I’ve put my blog into private till I resolve this.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
When you erase images from your media library, they’ll be removed from your front-end website as well. If you want those to display, you’ll have to re-upload them in the post editor for each post where they’re missing.
As for your first question, whenever you upload images, you’re making them publicly accessible (unless you set the site, and keep it set, as private.)
Otherwise it’s always possible to view these images by direct URL, or by viewing the image attachment page.
