Unregistering a linked blog

  Hi, I can’t find how to do this and I’m hoping somebody can help.

  I installed wordpress on my own server, I then linked this new blog to my wordpress.com account. This was all fine.

  I’ve since deleted the wordpress installation on my machine, but now I want to unregister the blog from my account on wordpress.com. How can I go about doing this?

  I’m well aware my blog wasnt hosted with wordpress.com and for that I do not require support thanks.

  My wordpress.com account, is however hosted with wordpress.com and that is what I want help with.

  This is something that staff will have to do for you, so contact them at http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ and give them the details and they can remove it for you.

  Why can’t you remove a linked blog through the dashboard? It is much easier to DELETE a blog through the Dashboard than it is to remove a link. IMO it is stupid to force a user to contact support for something so simple.

  All support for wordpress on your own server ought to come from http://wordpress.ORG/support/ I’m thinking that maybe you cannot remove it from the dashboard because you ought not to have linked to it from your local install in the first place. I dunno [SHRUG] but the bottom line is you will now have to contact WordPress.com Staff.
