Unrequested Home page feature, what is happening?

  Hi,

  My Blog’s home page started featuring an unrequested post since today (right above the footer), with my avatar displaying on Its left. Could someone inform why this is happening?

  I don’t recall having made any change at all that could lead to this unwanted display.

  That is how the theme you are using, Forever, works. See here: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/forever/

  Forever will also display your latest Quote or Status post in the footer of your blog. You can read more about how to do that on our Post Formats page.

  Thank you so much for your reply.

  This is so strange as It never before had been displaying such before, up until today (I have been using this theme for more than a year). Certainly something has triggered this.

  Is it the first time you’ve used the Status or Quote post format?

  You can see the same thing in action on the Forever demo blog http://foreverdemo.wordpress.com/ The post http://foreverdemo.wordpress.com/2011/07/07/free-and-priceless-at-the-same-time/ which is a Quote post format post is repeated in the footer at the bottom of the home page.

  Just a quick update to say that thanks to you I learned a bit more on the Forever theme features.

  I now realize that the particular post appearing today, as I said, at the bottom of Home page is currently set to “STATUS” format instead of usual “standard” format.

  While all my posts are always posted as “standard”, since I performed some text changes yesterday, I may have inadvertently caused that change.
