Unstick a post from front page

I see that we can Stick a post to the front page. Great.
But when I do a post that contains support information, for example, I don’t want it to appear on the front page. The only way that I can see to do this is to back date the post, which is confusing for the folks that I send a link. So I have to be careful to explain the date issue each time.

How about we add a feature to Unstick a post from the front page? You can search for it, link it, it appears on the admin pages in the correct place in the list, etc etc. It just doesn’t appear on the front page.

I see an entry in this forum from 2012 mentioning this issue, so it’s not a new request. Time to add it?

    Hi windyweather,

The other trick to handle this could be using categories.
One category to hold all the blog post you want to be visible on the front-page, and the other with posts that you don’t want to be listed on the front page.

You can then, change the front-page to the category page.

    Hope this helps,
