Unsuccessful Attempt to Reactivate Blog Under Same Address

  I registered for a blog a few years ago, but didn’t do anything with it. In my recent attempt to create (or reactivate?) a blog under the same address, which is the address still listed as the web address in my account settings, I receive the “website already exists” notification. This is preventing me from continuing the blog I originally started, which was most likely shut down due to inactivity? What am I doing wrong, and how can I resolve this issue?

  shooterstake.wordpress.com is no longer available.
  The authors have deleted this site.

  WordPress does not shut down blogs that have been abandoned. If the blog you’re having problems with is ‘shooterstake’, then it was deleted by the owner. WordPress also does not recycle blog domains. Once it has been deleted, it is off the market forever.
