Unsure of which plan I should pay for?
-
I wanted to create a learning website. I need to collect answer (not more than 100-120) words and in plain text or short answer of 5-20 words.
Also, I have multiple choice questions too. I want to collect answers selected by students.I also have question to collect 10 to 20 single word and later display as answer ..
I also need to collect pictures – 1 or 2 per student.
Do I need a database?
The site I need help with is [visible only to staff] (email visible only to moderators and staff).

Hi there – It sounds like you will need to ability to create a membership portal so students can securely log in, work on objectives, and submit their work (in the form of lessons, quizzes, and tests in both written and multiple choice forms).
You’ll want to do a bit of research on what it takes to create an educational website using WordPress. There are some pretty good articles out there already with some good “plugin” recommendations which can help you accomplish this. Research will allow you to familiarize yourself with what is involved in creating and managing a site like this.
Here’s an article to help you get started: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/best-wordpress-lms-plugins-compared/
A few other questions:
1. Have you created and/or managed a WordPress website before?
2. Do you have a deadline for this project? When would you like to have this completed and ready for students?
3. One of our most extendable plans is the Business plan. Do you have a budget for this project? Does the cost of the Business plan exceed that budget?
I look forward to your feedback so we can help you make progress on this. :)

Thank you for your response and here is my answer.
1. I have used WP 3 years ago for a simple web site.
2. For now – no deadline yet. I am trying out this learning website for 1 course. So membership may not be required as my audience is small 3-5 members to test this site.
3. No budget yet as this is a trial or beta. I have several ideas to test run before deciding on the way forward.

Thanks for that — is your current test more about the concept of the course, or are you testing platforms so you can choose the best one for your needs?
If you’re testing the concept of your courses first, Crowdsignal does offer quizzes, and is embeddable here. And if you needed to offer membership-based access to those, any paid plan would work. That would be manageable for a small audience.
If you’d like to test different learning management systems for large-scale courses, I’d recommend looking into some of the options for WordPress. The web has several articles the different options out there. You’d look for “WordPress Learning Management Systems” and maybe read a few articles that compare them. Bear in mind some will be biased, but I think if you read a few you should get a good idea of what’s available.
Does that help?

Thanks for getting back.
First, I would like to test the concept of course and then the learning management platform too.
Cheers
