Untitled Theme Front page slider when selected hides posts from main feed

    Hello All,

    I’m fairly sure (unless I’m losing my mind) that when I was using the full bleed front page slider images a few weeks ago, it still displayed the selected post in the feed below it normally

    I had followed all the steps for the front page slider > it worked brilliantly initially.

    My posts tagged with the word ‘featured’ displayed in the front page slider and also underneath it > the most recent posts at the top. (as usual)

    However I’ve just noticed that now any posts tagged with “featured” ONLY display in the slider, meaning my latest post at the top is from a month ago, and any other “featured” tagged posts are hidden.

    I tested this by removing the tag and then the posts displayed again in the feed below as normal.

    Can anyone help? Is this a bug?

    It would be deeply annoying to have an either-or situation for this theme esp. as it was working fine a couple of weeks ago.

    A post isn’t supposed to show twice on the same page, no matter what the theme. Untitled worked this way from the start, and so does every other theme that has a posts slider, and so does the sticky option on simpler themes: it highlights selected posts precisely by removing them from their regular position and displaying them on top of the rest of the posts.

    oh I see. I must have not noticed before or imagined it worked better than it does.

    That’s kind of annoying, that I am forced to choose between the displays

    If there are multiple ‘featured’ posts its also forcing any user to navigate for those posts via a different system, instead of merely highlighting.

    (Sticky doesn’t change how the user navigates through the blog/site so that at least makes sense for a user, or to me)
