Untitled Theme Mini Carousel

I’m having problems with the “mini carousel” in the Untitled theme. I’ve set up the featured image slider on the main page (per the instructions here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/untitled/), but for whatever reason the mini carousel only shows the same 3 or 4 images (instead of the 8 or so that are visible in the slider). According to the instructions the carousel should be automatic, but I can’t get it to work. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi,
The mini-carousel is designed to serve as navigation between all posts; not just the “Featured” posts by showing the designated featured image for each post. To keep load times nice and quick, there’s a limit in how many posts are loaded in the carousel, so that’s what is happening here.
We’re loading your last 18 posts into the carousel and then displaying all which have a featured image set. In your case, it works out so only those four posts are shown in there since of the 18 most recent, those are the only ones that have featured images.
I’m going to bring this up with our theme team since it does seem odd to not fill up the carousel. They’re currently out for the week, so it may be a little while until they can respond.

That makes a lot more sense. I was convinced I was doing something wrong and it was getting very confusing and frustrating. Thanks a lot for your help and bringing this up with your theme team, it’s very much appreciated!
