Unused accounts

  Why the accounts established many years ago and without posts aren’t deleted to free those domains?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Because WP doesn’t delete blogs (unless they violate the TOS) and doesn’t recycle names.

  If having a specific URL is important to you, then you will purchase a domain name ie. a domain mapping upgrade, then it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com subdomain URL is.
