Unused domain names

My site is yada4930368example.wordpress.com
Really i want yadaexample.wordpress.com, which appears to be ‘taken’ even though that person isn’t actually using that domain since its blank. Therefore could I take it? It could even have been set up by me a couple years ok under a different email address but I’m not sure. Can you see what the email address linked to that site is?

Hi distopiaaudio,
When a WordPress.com account/username is created, we automatically reserve a matching site address for that person — while it isn’t possible to use an address matching the username, you can choose a variation.
It could even have been set up by me a couple years ok under a different email address but I’m not sure.
This site is not active or connected to a matching username. Do you see the option to “Do you want to register yadaexample.wordpress.com?” underneath “yadaexample.wordpress.com doesn’t exist”?

@gemmacevans I don’t see that anywhere, the one I’m actually after is https://distopia.wordpress.com/ it seems unused but taken?
