Unused weky.wordpress.com for almost 10 years

Hello, I’m the owner of whiskeyechokiloyankee.wordpress.com. I want to take over weky.wordpress.com because of weky.wordpress.com’s failure of good use for years. Can I take it over? Please. I’ll submit my identity (passport) if it necessary.

If that site was created by someone else then I’m afraid you will have to settle for something with a similar address. Sites here belong to the creator and aren’t given to others just because someone fancies the address. I have an old test site unused for a decade but I would be mightily peeved if WordPress.com gave it to someone else just because I haven’t used it very often. Ii’s a long shot but you could always leave a comment on that site asking if they would be prepared to transfer ownership to you. The owner might still have access to the email address associated with the site.

There is no use or activity requirement on a WordPress.com site. Sites may be left indefinitely inactive.
You may leave a message on the site, asking the site owner if they’d be willing to transfer the site you. WordPress.com doesn’t get involved in such communications, and will not provide details about the owner of the site.
