Unused WordPress.com install

  In December 2005, someone ‘started’ uncommonsense.wordpress.com. I have a self-hosted WordPress install I’d like to move to WordPress.com, and I’d like to use that domain name. Is there any way of contacting that person and asking if they would agree to giving up that install?

  The site I’d like to move over is currently here: https://www.gregraven.website, if that matters.

  Hi there
  I have tagged this for the friendly WordPress staff to look into, but looking at the comments there is a line of folks wanting to snap that one up. WordPress staff cannot reassign the site to you, but perhaps they can see if the email associated with the site receives notifications still. Try leaving a comment there as well..

  I hope that is not the only factor in your decision to move here, there are many benefits to using WordPress.Com instead of self hosting as you already know!

  Hi there, just adding that if you have a custom domain name that you intend on mapping here, then it doesn’t matter what the underlying WordPressdotcom address is. My 2¢/ the one you’ve registered (gregraven.wordpress.com) is much better in the long term for SEO if you use it with gregraven.website /My 2¢
