Unusual Permalink on a category
-
Hi.
When I click “health” on my drop down category widget the page that loads is:
http://echopen.wordpress.com/?cat=337.When clicking “Health” on the navagator the proper page loads
http://echopen.wordpress.com/category/health/How can I correct the “Health” category on my drop down menu?
And how can make sure I don’t have duplicate information on different pages?
(I don’t if categories are newly generated each time someone clicks on a link)Thanks,
Dlager

Now that I get a chance to look I have duplicate pages for categories:
http://echopen.wordpress.com/?cat=337
http://echopen.wordpress.com/category/meditation/http://echopen.wordpress.com/?cat=3379
http://echopen.wordpress.com/category/zen/http://echopen.wordpress.com/?cat=5004
http://echopen.wordpress.com/category/mental-health/http://echopen.wordpress.com/?cat=8668
http://echopen.wordpress.com/category/emotions/and I do get hits on named category pages that come from search engines.
I shall use the contact page,
but I am unsure if I have to anything with Webmaster tools.

After sending a support e-mail, the happiness engineer looked into it:
“The URL ending in ?cat=## will only happen with parent categories when the [category] widget is set to a dropdown.”
And he said he let the developers know about the bug.
