Unusual traffic to one of my posts
-
Hello, the stats for one (and just one) of my recent posts have been much higher than what I usually get. Also the number of visitors from the United States has increased sharply. I think it is really surprising, especially for that post. (There is nothing in the referrers section showing a possible referrer who would have liked my post so much !)
I don’t know if this could be an issue.I have noticed another change that happened at the same time. In the “clicks” section, there is : “WordPress.com Reader”. What does it mean ? Where do readers click ? I don’t understand.
The blog I need help with is francebienvenue2.wordpress.com and the blog post is called: A torrents. (posted on May 19th)
Thank you !The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The post is called A torrents?
Mystery solved.
The keyword “Torrents” is a very popular search term to download movies, music, games, programs, applications, etc.
WordPress.com Reader refers to
http://wordpress.com/#!/read/following/
It allows them to read (part) of your post without visiting your blog.

Thank you.
à torrents is just a French expression that means that it is pouring. But originally I called it “Déluge” and that’s when it all started ! Is Déluge also a popular search term in English ? -
Will it stop if I change the post title ? and the permalink ? Is there anything else I need to do ?
Thank you for your help. I’ll have to make sure I choose titles more carefully ! -
You’re welcome.
I would not change the title, if it brings more traffic/readers to your blog, why not?
Déluge is not a popular word, no.
