unverified visitors ?

  Hi,

  I received a copy email message today (to my WP registered administrator’s address) which I presumed was a comment added to my blog over twelve hours ago. I am guessing it has been sent via the contact form. The senders name and email address are in my emailed copy, along with I.P. address and the message but for some reason the message is not showing up on the blog. I was not aware there is usually a delay.

  I notice that it was ‘Sent by an unverified visitor to your site’ but cannot see that making any difference. I did not select comments need approval in my settings so it has me puzzled.

  Any thoughts please?

  Yes. That’s a message form a visitor who used your Contact Form. They never appear on the blog. You simply treat them as email.

  OOPS! Unverified means that they do not ahave a wordpress.COM account.

  Oh I feel such a fool………

  The stupid thing is if I had received the email today I would not have thought anything of it as I knew the answer. Where was my brain when I posted that question??

  I must keep taking the tablets! Apologies.
