Unwanted adverts in footer

  Hi;

  I seem to over the last two weeks to have started to get unwanted ads pop up at the bottom of my site when viewed. Do you know why this is and how I can stop it as it’s driving people away from my site!

  Hello – If you have ads showing up on your WordPress.com blog, you are using the WordPress.com Free plan. If you would like to have the ads removed, you can upgrade – here’s more info https://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/ – Hope that helps!

  @tanyakorteling – Hi there, Are you referring to a site hosted here on WordPressdotcom? Both the sites you’ve linked to (in your username and the link in your post) are not hosted here.

  Hi again, yes, you’ll want to check with your web hosting service, Bluehost about this.

  WordPressdotcom (where we are) and standalone WP are different entities. For more information about that at https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Just for the future if you need help with your standalone WP site, you’ll want to head over to the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support If you don’t have a username there, you can register one on that page.

  I might also suggest that you run a malware check on your computer to make sure it hasn’t been infected with adware.
