unwanted and deleted picture still shows up in home or catagory page

    On the home page I have the list of posts with a picture within each post. On one of my posts the picture does not relate to the post (and neither is it in the post itself)

    I have changed all the pictures in my post (http://bushtelegraph.biz/2014/10/10/kilifi-bofa-2nd-row-2-13-acre-plot-for-sale-ksh14-9m/) yet one of the old pictures remained on the main pages showing the list of posts(for example the home page) . I then ‘deleted permanently’ all the old pictures from the Media so that it wouldn’t show up anywhere. I now get another picture that is not related to this post.

    I need a picture that relates to this post. Can anyone help? I hope this explanation is clear! I do suspect a confusion in the database within wordpress itself.

    And WHICH picture is it that keeps showing up? What is the URL? Have you set a different image to be Featured Image?

    This was next door to the ones I permanently deleted from the media database. (as initially one of these old ones was showing in main page).

    I do not set a featured image as then this image then shows as very large within the post which I don’t want. The image that usually comes up is randomly picked from the ones that I put into the gallery of that particular post.

    So to try and be more clear following is what occurred:
    1. I uploaded some not very good photos for this post and published it.
    2. I then uploaded some good photos and deleted the old ones from the post. However, on the ‘list pages’ which show all posts either on the home page or in the page showing selected categories, one of the old photos remained there (despite it not being in the post).
    3. I deleted all the old photos from Media. The picture that comes up now is the one that was in the media file placed just behind the ones that I deleted.

    Hi. I decided to set another photo as the featured image and it comes up… I see it does not fill up the page – It must have done this in the previous theme I was working with!
