Unwanted category

  When I edit any post and save it, I find my blog has created a new category called “1”. I delete this category but it keeps coming back.

  Me too! Every single one of my posts was tagged with “support our troops” and “Ron Paul” today. Can people hack into our actual entries, too, or just change our categories? Also, how long do you think it will take for WordPress to fix the problem?

  People can’t change categories on your posts without having your username and password.

  There have been some reports of tags changing seemingly by themselves with the recent upgrades and I’m not sure where that issue sits at the moment. As a precaution you might think about changing your password. Do you have anyone else on your blog (as an author or administrator)?

  No, just me. As far as I can tell nothing else has been changed other than the tags. I doubt anyone has my password, but I’ll change it to be safe

  I would let staff know tomorrow when Support reopens. It isn’t an emergency, but they should be told. There might be something simple they can do to fix it.
