unwanted changes of image descriptions

    Hi all!
    I have been experiencing unwanted changes of image descriptions upon editing a post: I inserted a number of images (not as a gallery) – including image descriptions – to a post.
    Viewing the post I decided to scale some of the images down a tad.
    this caused all image descriptions in the post to change to the first image’s description text.
    As I did not fancy rewriting every single description, I abandoned the changes. But I am not happy the way the post looks and am wondering if I have to find an elaborate workaround or simply have to be prepared to do a lot re-entering image descriptions? is this a known bug?
    It does not appear to be a preview problem, but make the actual changes in the updated post.
    This happened before in another post and I fixed it manually, but it is kind of tedious, esp. if there is a number of images..
