Unwanted characters with Bushwick and excerpt display

Hello

I wanted to use excerpts for the posts, and had a bad surprise :

Bushwick displays the excerpt on the post itself

It comes with a very not understandable TL;DR- in front of the excerpt, from the CSS

1- is the TL;DR- wanted or a mistake ?
(and if wanted, what is it supposed to mean)

2- Is the display of the excerpt on top of the post common to all themes or do I have a chance to find one that uses excerpts “as expected” (on archives, in meta and RSS) ?

Bushwick doesn’t support manual excerpts in the way I think you want to use them. Bushwick displays only the title of the post on the blog and other archive pages, except for the newest post on the blog page, which is displayed in full. For that newest post, you can add a More tag where you want the post to break:

It’s intentional, and comes from line 719 in the stylesheet:

It’s an expression that means “too long; didn’t read.”

You can display excerpts in the RSS feed by going to Settings > Reading and selecting “Excerpt” next to “For each article in a feed, show” – which I see you’ve already done. The first portion of your posts will be automatically displayed.
