Unwanted comments

  I get about 800 unwanted comments / spam every day. I’ve had my blog for years but this is something that has happened the last couple of months and I don’t know why.
  I’ve changed the settings in comments so that spam get marked as trash. But regular comments gets affected as well and ends up in the trash, even though those persons have approved comments in the past. Sometimes those comments gets published directly and sometimes it ends up in the trash, even though it’s from the same person.

  What can I do to fix this? I don’t want regular comments to be deleted by accident.

  Hi, you are in the wrong forum.
  This forum is only for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.com
  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  And you should ask in the WordPress.org forum.
