Unwanted comments from untraceable commentators

  Hi. In the last 3 days, I have had 3 emails suggesting that there were comments awaiting approval. The comments seemed unusual and random. When I looked in WP admin, there were no comments awaiting approval and these 3 comments from three different users were not visible. When I clicked on the user names, they came up blank. This is the first time this has happened in 8 years on WP.
