unwanted dashboard material imposed on me- how can I get rid of it??

  How can I get rid of YOUR VOTING ad on my dashboard every time I log in???
  I don’t need you to remind me of my voting rights.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I am choosing not to be reminded by WordPress of my voting rights and that an election is around the corner. It is not the business of WordPress to remind me to vote. Every time I open my Dashboard I find a huge advertisement about voting. This ad takes up half of my working dashboard space.
  To get rid of it I can click the arrow to close it. But I’d rather not see it all. I’d rather not have to take the time to click the arrow for these items I didn’t even ask for. And when I close it, I still have lost half my dashboard space. I am asking wordpress not to place its voting info on my dashboard.

  Hi Susan,

  You won’t be able to get rid of it altogether. The best way would be to click the arrow as you were able to do and then you can drag it all the way to the bottom of the page so that it won’t be as visible. It will be removed after Nov 4th – in about a week.

  Thank you, Grace, for replying to my question so quickly!
  I hope the voting reminder will NOT be replaced with some other political ad.
  Wordpress should not be expressing their opinions on our blogs. You should have a wordpress-dedicated blog for wordpress political opinions. You should not be acting as our parent or educator about YOUR company’s issues unless it is related to the function of the blog system.
  But I do thank you for getting back to me about this.
