Unwanted emails

  Hi, I get at least 50 unwanted emails every day!!! Very annoying, how can this be stopped? Below is just one example (copy/pasted) to what I receive and always from various user names, never one is the same :

  New user registration on your site GSBA:
  Username: lynn.crane4268
  Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  Hi there,

  Sounds like your site might not be hosted with WordPress.com or you’ve both disabled the “WordPress.com sign in” option and enabled user registration on your site.

  The Setting I’m referring to that disables users being able to login to your site with their WordPress.com user can be found under Settings -> Security in your WordPress.com Dashboard:

  And the option to allow User Registration for anyone and is the setting that is producing these emails would be found in your wp-admin (regardless of if you’re hosting a WordPress site with WordPress.com or another host):

  Settings -> General -> Membership -> Anyone can register

  Unfortunately, if you do enable the option for anyone to register a user on your site, you’re not able to disable the email that get’s sent to the primary email address of your WordPress site unless you use a plugin. So to avoid getting these emails, you’d have to disable this option from your wp-admin.

  That or you could change the primary email address you’ve set on your WordPress site so these registration emails get sent elsewhere (though that will also send all other notifications relevant to your site there as well):
