Unwanted emails via WordPress.com

I receive unwanted emails from a website. Instead of an “unsubscribe” button, they take me to WordPress.com to “change my preferences”. I’ve gotten rid of any blogs and blocked emails on the Settings page, but STILL, I receive emails from this website. This has driven me crazy for TWO YEARS since when I decided I didn’t want emails from this source anymore and couldn’t stop them. I’ve been on this forum before and nothing worked. HELP……AGAIN……!!!

I checked your account and I see that all of your email notifications are enabled:
https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/updates
While logged in, click on the link above and uncheck all of the notification boxes. You should no longer receive notifications after that.

Hi there, all I can say is that I’ve checked my email notifications numerous times and have blocked all emails, so I don’t understand why you are seeing something different to what I am seeing.
Having said that, darnelldibbles, I managed to track down and contact the ‘parent’ organisation of the website I keep receiving emails from and am hoping that they followed my request to take me off their list.

Matilda Marseillaises is the sender. I just looked at my In Box to get the name and yes, they’re still coming…
I couldn’t find an email address for Matilda Marseillaises, but online it looked like Le Petit Journal was it’s ‘parent’, so I emailed them. Their email is: (email visible only to moderators and staff)

Don’t you know the address of the site you’re receiving those notifications from?
Is it lepetitjournal.com? Because that site isn’t even using WordPress.
