UNWANTED EXTRA SPACE IN TITLE
-
When I compose a post, there is now appearing an extra space between the next to last and the last word in the title… when there are more than two words.
Here is an example… http://tedbooksdailypics.com/2015/12/25/merry-christmas-from-tedbook/
Otherwise, I am very happy with the new editor.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Wrong blog I need help with… tedstrutz.com is okay… It is http://tedbooksdailypics.com that has the title spacing problem.
-
Thanks, but that did not help. It seems to be mostly about widgets. I am talking about the Title of the post. I did try putting the code in HTML mode, he mentioned, and that just showed up in the title. As you can guess, maybe, I’m not too tech savvy.

WordPress, by default, puts a non-breaking space between the last two words in sentences and titles so that single words don’t get orphaned on the last line.
-
I saw that. I couldn’t find anywhere that got rid of the non-breaking space in the title. I tried putting in ‘ ’ in the title and that just put it IN the title. My theme is ‘auto focus’ and did not do this before the new editor. This does not happen in the titles of my other blog, which is a different theme.
How can you override the non-breaking space in a title? I know you can remove it in the text in HTML mode.
I appreciate you helping me with this.

Sandy McFadden said this… ” Open that post in the editor and replace the space between Administrative and Assistant with the following. Note: I’ve had to use a space between the & and e so that it will show up here in the forums. Remove that space.
& ensp;”I couldn’t figure out how to do this, and did not know if it applied to titles or widgets.

Hi @tedstrutz, I see what you mean. I’ve asked the developers to take a look, but in the meantime, I did notice it seems related to your font. Do you want to try a different font to see if that helps for now?
-
Thank you, Velda. I would love to change the font. I’ll see if I can figure out how to do that.

@tedstrutz, I actually heard back from the developers that the original problem is solved now, too. :)
-
@tedstrutz I was seeing the extra space in other browsers, too, actually. It was indeed a problem with the font, and our developers have fixed it. Cheers!
