Unwanted followers.

Is there any way to block unwanted followers?
Basically the spammy “I sit on my ass and make billions of dollars doing nothing” bloggers.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, there isn’t, but if they’re hosted on WP.com you CAN report them as spam. Those kinds of blogs are against the terms of service here.

Thanks, I wasn’t sure of if there was a “report spam” link or what not.
I found it though! http://en.wordpress.com/report-spam/

No, that is to report spam blogs published on WordPress.com.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/report-blogs/You cannot block followers on wp.com if your site is public. This is an issue that has been much discussed recently. See here:

There are lots of threads tagged “spam followers”
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/spam-followers
and lots of other forum tags for more discussions on the problem. It comes down to reporting spam bloggers who follow you. Keep at it and we’ll hope they will eventually go away. But some of them are not wp.com bloggers, or they can continue to open new accounts under different names. So you cannot get rid of them forever for always for good.

If the person that likes ‘my’ blog or follows ‘my’ blog, runs a wp blog that is a “‘I sit on my ass and make billions of dollars doing nothing’ click here to find out how..” isn’t that a spam blog?
The likes or follows do nothing for the blog they like or follow, it just drives traffic to their blog.

If you have their IP address or username you can block them from commenting. Go to the Settings –> Discussion page and at the bottom of the screen you can block comments with specific words in them or from specific IP addresses.
I only just noticed this two minutes ago when I was looking for something else and I have never actually used it, so I might be wrong, but that’s what I think it does. -
There’s no issue with them commenting, as I have it set so a new comment has to be approved.
This is just about people who have a blog set up for “make money at home” ‘offers’ and they just follow your blog hoping to get a unique view, a follow back, or something to that effect. So they look better. Which is a whole aspect of their “business plan”. I don’t care about making money off of my blog. That wasn’t the point of me setting it up. It was to get ACTUAL people that comment and have a genuine interest in my blog/what I have to say. It was also to go along with a planned trip that I was going to do, but the trip didn’t work out.
I don’t care about people following my blog if that’s all they’re going to do. It doesn’t affect me if NO ONE follows it. IF you feel like interacting with me, on my blog, great. If I was interested in making money from a blog, I’m sure I could use the internet to figure out how.

I have just had two ‘bloggers’ sign up to follow my blog whose blogs contain sexual content and references to Viagra etc. How do I get rid of them or report them. I don’t really want them anywhere near my blog
