unwanted followers
-
Over time I have had a number of followers that I reckon are either nuisance followers or bots. Most of these follow intermittently and I remove them and then they appear again weeks or months later. Its annoying but I can tolerate it. I have one person following me that I have literally removed almost every day for the last several months, perhaps longer. I am extremely patient but this has gone beyond a joke and I’ve become extremely frustrated. Surely there must be a way that I can block this follower?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi –
It’s not possible to block someone from viewing your site unless you adjust the privacy settings.

Hi,
I’m not concerned about whether or not they view my site, I’d just like to stop them following me. I tried making my site private for a couple of weeks and found that only followers with a wordpress account received my posts. Excluding followers doesn’t seem to me to be a satisfactory solution. It baffles me that I can make a decision about whether or not to allow someone to leave a comment but I don’t have the same control over followers. -
When your site is set as private, you will have to manually approve who can see the posts on your site.
There’s no way to block anyone from following your site when it’s public. If you feel that an account that follows you may be a spammer, let us know their username and we’ll have a look.

Thank you.
The account is @teamcryptee
Re-follows pretty much everyday after I’ve removed the account and my patience is wearing thin

I’ve just read the details about making the site private. Not everyone who follows my site has a wordpress account and it is clear that to have access to a private account they need a wordpress account. Not everyone will want to create an account. This just seems to add another level of frustration to my dilemna
