unwanted footer widgets

  The footer of my blog has unwanted “categories” and “search” posts. I do have any widgets for footer 3 or 4. Not sure where they came from. How can I make them go away?

  Install a text widget empty – no title no content and save it and all other widgets in any footer area will disappear. Repeat in each footer area as required.
