Unwanted format change
-
Suddenly, every single post and page on my blog has changed to bold and italic font, when viewed on a desktop browser. It looks fine on mobile. I did not request this change. Why has this happened, and how can I change it back? Many thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

On further investigation this seems to be a problem with my chosen font, Minion Pro. When I select this font in settings all the text is rendered in boldface and italics. When I change to any other font, the bold and italic formatting disappears and all is well.

Same thing happened for me, although with another font, FF Dagny Pro. I was editing the CSS when it happened so I initially thought I’d messed something up. Changing the font to another one got rid of the bold & italics, as this post suggested.
However, since I’d changed some things around in the CSS I went back there to change them back and the same thing happened to my new font, Proxima Nova! (This is quite bothersome since those two are about the only two ones that I actually like.)
What’s extra peculiar is that the bold & italics aren’t showing up in the preview window, like it doesn’t exist… except it does, although it shouldn’t. Weird!

Yeah I get the same behaviour with the preview window. Minion Pro looks fine there, but when I save it and view the site, the bold and italics appear.

Ah, the wonders of technology. :) Been trying out various fonts and some of them display this behavior while others do not. Also, there was a couple of fonts that wouldn’t display at all on my blog, instead the text was shown in the browser’s default font. So maybe there’s a problem with the fonts themselves rather than with our blogs…? Fingers crossed it gets solved quickly and easily, whatever it is!
