Unwanted horizontal border at top of page – twenty eleven

  I’d like to loose the horizontal line/border at the top of the page.
  I think it appeared early on when I brought in my custom header.
  I put in the two gray dotted vertical borders on each side of the page and
  would like to continue same border at the top of the page once that existing
  black boarder is removed.
  Also: if you look at the left gray dotted vertical boarder near the top of the page
  you’ll see that a segment of the border is missing.
  If you would help me restore the missing segment
  I’d be a happy camper.
