  When I upload a picture, it appears automatically with a pink border that I have not defined and don’t want,
  How do I get rid of it?

  That’s actually part of your theme. You can adjust the color used via CSS if you have a Custom Design upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
