Unwanted information on website pages
-
Hello!
I have problems on my Home page: the words “07 Saturday Nov 2015” appear next to the word “Home.” “Posted by Send2terilyn in uncategorized / Leave a comment” appear below the word “Home.”Unwanted information appears below the correct site information on a black background: a search box; recent posts; recent comments; archives; categories and meta.
How do I remove these from the page? Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It looks like perhaps you’d like your front page to be a static page – which doesn’t include things like dates, categories, etc. – instead of your latest posts. That’s usually what folks do if they want their homepage to contain the same information all the time, rather than a continuous stream of blog posts which is how your site is currently set up.
To switch that over, you’ll first need to create a new page, and copy the content from your current post into that page.
Then, create a new placeholder page for your blog, if you’ll have one.
Then, open your Customizer’s Static Front page section, select “A static page” and choose the new pages you just created for your front page, and blog posts.
There’s a full guide to setting up a static front page here, with step-by-step instructions:
Unwanted information appears below the correct site information on a black background: a search box; recent posts; recent comments; archives; categories and meta.
Did you get this sorted out? I’m not seeing that on your site.

Hello Kathrynwp.
Thank you. So far, I am very satisfied.
However, there is still unwanted information that appears below the correct site information on a black background: a search box; recent posts; recent comments; archives; categories and meta.
Please let me know what else to do.
Many thanks.
Terilyn

Those are widgets in the Upper Footer Widget Area. You can go into your widget-management area to delete them, either in the Customizer’s Widgets panel, or in the WP Admin dashboard, under Appearance > Widgets.
